Donaldson Hy-Pro's skid-mounted vacuum dehydrator for efficient water and particulate removal from hydraulic, lubricating and gear oils, with real-time monitoring through iCue Connected Technology.
VUD Vac-U-Dry Vacuum Dehydrators
Product Overview
Engineered for efficient water and particulate removal from hydraulic, lubricating and gear oils, the Vac-U-Dry combines industry leading fluid filtration with real-time monitoring through Donaldson iCue™ Connected Technology. This skid-mounted vacuum dehydrator is ideal for continuous duty applications that need consistent monitoring.
Viscosity specific dispersal elements remove water fast without the foaming of one-size-fits-all media
Low watt density fin tube heaters with no direct element contact warm oil safely, with programmable temperature control and a no-flow switch
Dual condensate tanks, auto water level sensors and automatic drains for 24/7 unattended operation
Clear covers on the vacuum chamber and condensate tanks let you see what is happening inside
Oversized particulate filter with media down to β3[C] ≥ 4000
Adjustable recirculation line speeds up cold starts and lets you tune flow for small reservoirs and gearboxes
How It Works
A vacuum pump draws contaminated oil through low watt density heaters, which bring it to the best temperature for dehydration. The oil then passes over dispersal elements in the vacuum chamber, forming a thin film exposed to the vacuum. Water vaporizes and is drawn into the condenser, where it turns back to liquid and drains into the condensate tanks. The dry oil is pumped through the high efficiency particulate filter and returned to the system.

iCue Connected Technology
Sensors and cloud-based analytics give you real-time visibility into the VUD from any computer or smart device, with alerts when key parameters are exceeded. Monitored points include relative humidity, vacuum level, fluid temperature, fluid flow, post-filter differential pressure, hours of service, foam and high oil level, and condensate drain, with an optional particle count monitor.
